Project Description:
EBA provided engineering services for this 80-acre disposal site which overlies a former Class I hazardous waste facility operated by others, thereby adding to the complexity of site characterization, monitoring and closure activities.
EBA Provided the Following Services:
- Performed a Remedial Investingation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) to define groundwater flow conditions and migration of contaminated releases from the landfill.
- Prepared an Article 5 groundwater monitoring program, followed by installation of monitoring wells, interpretation of the test results and preparation of corresponding groundwater monitoring reports.
- Implemented regulatory remedial processes to satisfy the requirements of the DTSC and the RWQCB for cleanup of groundwater impacts associated with the landfill.
- Prepared Preliminary and Final Closure/Postclosure Maintenance Plans and performed final closure CQA activities.
- Evaluated, designed and managed permitting of a LFG extraction and flare system.
