Project Description:

EBA provided engineering and planning services to the Republic of Korea for the preparation of a comprehensive solid and hazardous waste management plan. EBA worked with local provincial and city governments to evaluate waste quantities and compostion, existing landfill and disposal site information, and companies responsible for the collection, processing, disposal, and management of hazardous and solid wastes.

EBA Provided the Following Services:

  • Surveyed the quantity and composition of municipal solid waste disposal for six municipalities.
  • Prepared population, land use, industrial development, and solid waste quantity projections for each municipality.
  • Developed and evaluated alternatives for municipal solid waste management technologies.
  • Recommended an alternative for solid, toxic and hazardous waste management in the project area and performed an environmental assessment and economic evaluation of the recommended alternative.
