Trona-Argus - Transfer Station

Project Description:

EBA is providing design and permitting services for a solid waste transfer station located at the existing Trona-Argus Sanitary Landfill. This ongoing project needs to be completed by the end of September 1998, at which time the landfill is scheduled to cease accepting waste. The facility will include a steel frame building with a metal canopy and tipping floor with vehicle unloading stalls, waste storage area, baler and steel hopper. A trailer pit will be provided below the hopper for loading of open top trailers.

EBA Provided the Following Services:

  • Preparation of the Report of Station Information (RSI) and Initial Study in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
  • Execution of a geotechnical investigation to evaluate subsurface soil conditions and provide design recommendations for the proposed facility.
  • Preliminary layouts and evaluations for alternative designs.
  • Final construction plans, specifications and bid documents.
  • Assistance during bidding and contractor selection.
  • Assistance during construction including surveying and periodic inspections.
