Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Preparation, Monitoring, and Inspection Services
EBA Engineering was obtained by the City of Santa Rosa to prepare a construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the Airfield Neighborhood Park Project. To assure compliance with the requirements of the 2009-0009-DWQ Construction General Permit, EBA Engineering prepared the SWPPP, Notice of Intent (NOI), and annual report as well as performed storm water inspections, monitoring, and sampling during construction.
The SWPPP included detailed information and procedures that assured storm water quality at the construction site. Such information included project description and construction procedures, site risk assessments, guidelines for the use of Best Management Practices (BMPs), site maps showing BMPs installation and monitoring locations, as well as a Construction Site Monitoring Program (CSMP). The SWPPP was then uploaded to California State Water Resources Control Board's Storm Water Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS) database for the preparation of the NOI.
The SWPPP was implemented during construction and inspections, monitoring and sampling were performed. Inspections, monitoring, and sampling included weekly site visits, obtaining precipitation event forecasts from the National Weather Service, writing and initiating Rain Event Action Plans (REAPs), and collecting storm water samples according to the CSMP.
