Landfill Gas Systems

Feasibility of Landfill Gas Recovery / Control Options

Landfill gas (LFG) recovery/control feasibility analysis services provided by EBA include LFG quantification and site yield, refuse composition, computer modeling for long term gas yields, market surveys for the sale of gas or energy, conceptual design and costing, and technical and economic feasibility reports.

Design of Passive & Active Landfill Gas Collection/Control Systems

EBA can provide design services, construction plans and specifications and construction/operations assistance for the design and installation of passive and active gas control/recovery systems. Typical designs have included passive collection trenches, collection well fields, wells heads, condensate traps, valving, as well as flare stations for the recovery and destruction of LFG. EBA services also include the development of construction specifications and bid documents, assistance in the construction bid process, the obtaining of regulatory agency approvals, construction oversight, assistance in system startup, and the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.

Monitoring, Operation, & Maintenance of Gas Migration Control Systems

EBA can provide all necessary monitoring, operation, and maintenance services to ensure the control of gas migration. Typical task work includes the monitoring of gas migration wells to determine system effectiveness, monitoring and adjustment of control system components, balancing of well fields for migration control, the maintenance and repair of control system components, flare source test sampling, and report preparation and regulatory agency liaison for regulatory compliance.

Design of Continuous Monitoring Systems

EBA designs and provides construction oversight for the installation of continuous gas monitoring systems. Systems have included single remote sensor alarms and multiple sensor alarms to central control panels for the early detection of the accumulation of LFG in structures erected over or in the vicinity of LFG sources.
