Development of Master Plans The master plan development of surface and ground water resources includes: scope development, demographic survey, data analysis, conceptual plan development, public review and comments, final plan development, permitting, implementation, financing, and public relations.Hydrologic Evaluations EBA provides runoff modeling, flood hydrograph preparation, basin characterization, including determination of slope, soil, or surface runoff coefficients, valuation of meteorological data and rainfall duration intensity, stream gauging, and the design of stream channel and detention structures.Hydrogeologic Site Characterization EBA groundwater resources capabilities include: Historic investigation, review, and analysis; e.g., review of published literature and aerial photographs, geologic map interpretation, data analysis and engineering evaluation, and report preparation; Field exploration; e.g., field reconnaissance and geologic mapping, borehole drilling, logging and sampling, development of test pits and trenches, aquifer testing methods, geophysical determinations (surface and borehole), piezometer and monitoring well installation, geotechnical and/or rock mechanics, and organic and inorganic sampling; and Groundwater modeling by implementing, evaluating, and modifying existing state-of-the-art modeling methods to meet specific modeling requirements.Groundwater Modeling Senior staff members have successfully developed and implemented over 20 complex ground water basin models utilizing state-of-the-art flow and contaminant transport models. Depending upon site conditions and the client's data requirements, EBA may employ a wide variety of analytical and numerical techniques. Some of these techniques include simulation of fluid flow, and mass transport by finite differences, and finite elements methods.Design of Hydraulic Structures Expertise in hydraulic structures capabilities includes design of piping systems, flumes and weirs, system expansion and improvements, channels, detention basins, ponds and reservoirs, liners, and slurry walls.Sedimentation and Erosion Control Capabilities in sedimentation and erosion control include sediment accumulation determinations and trap efficiency assessments, computation of capacity and inflow ratios and full velocity, construction material and lining, sediment deposition rates in surface impoundment, geometry and design.Water Quality Experience in eutrophication and control includes the prediction of algal growth, nitrogen and phosphate ratios, mass balance of phosphorous, dissolved oxygen, BOD, and toxic chemical relationships assessments (e.g., sorption and sedimentation), biodegradation and stratification analysis occurring in lakes and reservoirs, and surface water restoration.Remediation Design EBA provides remediation alternatives assessments (assessments based upon cost, cleanup efficiency, feasibility, and permitting), and implementation, design and testing of preferred alternative. |
