Vapor Extraction Pilot Test and Aquifer Pump Test

Project Description:
EBA performed a hydrogeologic investigation and remediation system feasibility study for a one-acre industrial site located in Santa Rosa, California. As part of the site investigation, EBA completed several soil borings and installed two monitoring wells in order to define the extent of soil and groundwater contamination. The site is located on coarse-grained alluvial fan deposits and was considered a likely candidate for vapor extraction technology.
EBA Provided the Following Services:
- Completed soil borings, installed monitoring wells to evaluate petroleum hydrocarbon migration, and performed groundwater sampling and analysis.
- Performed vapor extraction pilot testing to determine the feasibility of using vapor extraction to remove residual volatile hydrocarbon contaminants from subsurface soils.
- Performed aquifer pump testing to determine properties of the shallow aquifer at the site and obtain preliminary data for use in the evaluation and design of a groundwater extraction system.
